Texas Film CommissionAustin Film Society’s Austin Studios will host the Texas Film Commission P.A. Workshop on Saturday, May 31st & Sunday, June 1st.

P.A.’s (production assistants) are entry-level crew members on a film production. They provide support and assistance to almost all areas and departments. This two-day intensive program will teach the ins and outs of successful production assistance for those who wish to pursue working on films in Texas!

Benefits of the P.A. Workshop include:

* Career counseling and strategies for finding employment
* Specific training for the Production Assistant job position
* P.A. Workshop Certification by the Texas Film Commission upon completion of the course to add to your resume
* Certification entitles you to be listed as having completed the TFC P.A. Workshop in the Texas Production Directory available at the Texas Film Commission’s website

Requirements to participate:

* Must be 18 years of age
* A legal resident of Texas
* Have a valid Texas Driver’s License or Texas ID card
* Must be legally eligible to work in the US
* Must be physically up to the training- a P.A.’s job is challenging physically and requires long hours

$55 for AFS members / $75 for the general public
